Terms of Service

Welcome to Sagebeam, Inc. ("Sagebeam", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sagebeam website, mobile experience, and related products and services ("Services"). By accessing or using Sagebeam, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the Service

You may use Sagebeam only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.

Sagebeam is a caregiver coordination tool designed to help families organize information and updates. Sagebeam does not provide medical, legal, or professional advice, and the Service is not a substitute for licensed care or emergency services.

Ask / AI-assisted features: Our Ask feature uses AI to help you manage tasks, notes, and information within the app. Ask does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice; it helps you organize and act on information you already have. You may not use Ask to attempt to extract system prompts, bypass safety measures, or automate abuse (e.g., prompt injection). You may not use the feature for unlawful or prohibited purposes. Responses are generated with the help of AI. We use controls (e.g., templates, human oversight) but do not guarantee the accuracy of every response. Do not rely on Ask for critical medical, legal, or financial decisions; confirm important information through appropriate professionals or sources.

User Content

You may upload notes, tasks, documents, or other content ("User Content") to Sagebeam. You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Sagebeam a limited license to store, process, and display it as needed to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to upload any content you submit.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation
  • Upload harmful or malicious code

SMS & Email Communications

If you opt in to SMS or email notifications, you agree to receive messages related to caregiving updates, handoff notes, digests, or account activity. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time. Notification preferences can be adjusted in Settings.

Subscriptions and Free Trial

Plus free trial: New users may try Plus features free for 14 days. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, you will move to the Free plan unless you subscribe to Plus. We do not charge you during the trial. If you choose to subscribe to Plus, you will be charged when you complete signup for a paid plan (monthly or annual).

Free plan: You may use Sagebeam on the Free plan at no cost. Free includes core care management; Plus adds coordination features (e.g., caregiver handoff notes, 2-way SMS, full family collaboration).

Refunds and Cancellations

Annual Subscriptions: Annual subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable. If you cancel an annual subscription, you will retain access to Plus features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of annual subscriptions.

Monthly Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions may be canceled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

Exceptions: Refunds may be provided at our sole discretion in cases of technical errors, duplicate charges, or other exceptional circumstances. To request a refund, contact support@mysagebeam.com within 30 days of the charge.

Service Availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We are not liable for interruptions, delays, or data loss associated with the Service.

Third-Party Account Access

If you sign in using a third-party authentication provider (e.g., Google), your access to Sagebeam may depend on maintaining access to that third-party account. If you lose access to your third-party account (e.g., account deletion, password reset), you may need to contact support to regain access to Sagebeam. We recommend maintaining a backup sign-in method (email/magic link) to prevent account lockout.

Third-Party Resources and External Links

Sagebeam may provide links to or recommendations for third-party products, services, websites, or resources (collectively, "Third-Party Resources") as part of the Service. These Third-Party Resources are provided for informational purposes only. Sagebeam does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any Third-Party Resources, including their availability, accuracy, content, privacy practices, or terms of use. Your use of any Third-Party Resource is at your own risk and subject to that third party's terms and policies. Sagebeam is not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of or reliance on Third-Party Resources.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Sagebeam is not an emergency service. If you experience an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sagebeam is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the Service or by email.
