My parents, who inspired Sagebeam

Navigating your parents' care shouldn't be overwhelming

I built Sagebeam because I know what it's like — whether you're planning ahead or managing care right now. The legal documents, the benefits, the coordination, the constant worry. You shouldn't have to figure it out alone.

Hi, I'm Rachel Moore

Hi, I'm Rachel Moore. I live in San Francisco. My parents (pictured above) live in South Carolina.

My dad had triple heart bypass surgery a few years ago. My mom has had — and survived — breast cancer multiple times. We've navigated real health crises, and we're also in that stage where we're thinking ahead — trying to plan for various eventualities, prepare for what might come.

But trying to prepare and think through all the options? It was overwhelming. The legal documents, the benefits, the coordination — especially from across the country. I felt like I was going down a rabbit hole, and I didn't know where it would end.

Here's how out of date things were: their most recent will specified care for dogs that died before I was born. That's when I realized — we weren't just planning for the future. We were catching up on decades of things that should have been updated.

I realized there wasn't a tool built for families navigating this journey — whether you're planning ahead or managing care right now. Families trying to navigate this with dignity, trying to enjoy the time we have together without letting all this planning and care management work overshadow everything.

So I built Sagebeam. I talked to dozens of family caregivers — some planning ahead, some managing active care, some doing both. I learned what they needed. And I built the tool I want to have — one that takes you from planning and preparing to managing the toughest parts of care, whenever that time comes.

The hardest part isn't just the tasks you know about

It's the constant worry:

  • 'Did I file the right legal documents?'
  • 'Is there a benefit I'm missing?'
  • 'Are these medications safe together?'
  • 'What if I forget something important?'
  • 'Am I maintaining their dignity through all of this?'
  • 'Am I letting all this planning and care management work overshadow the time I have left with them?'

You're not failing. The system is failing you.

Family caregivers deserve better tools — tools that help you navigate this with dignity and peace of mind, so you can focus on enjoying life together.

Sagebeam is what I wish I'd had

Sagebeam is what I wish I'd had when I started navigating my parents' care.

It starts with a personalized care plan that surfaces the gaps families often miss — the legal documents, the benefits, the medication risks. Then it helps you plan, organize, and manage everything so nothing slips through.

But more than that, it's built for the entire journey — whether you're planning ahead or managing care right now. From identifying what needs attention to coordinating the toughest parts of care, whenever that time comes.

Our vision is simple: every family can navigate the dynamic, unpredictable nature of aging with dignity and peace of mind, so you can focus on enjoying life together — not letting all this planning and care management work overshadow the moments that matter.

"This is the answer to our prayers."
